With a big halibut coming to the boat, Capt. Erik Knudsen, of Yakutat's Glacier Bear Lodge, readies his 410 shotgun.

In 2004, we hunted the Kalahari in Namibia with Hannes Steyn. I took this gemsbok after a long belly crawl in the sand and a long shot with a 375 H&H.

Hawaii is one of my favorite destinations. On this, my fourth hunt in the islands, I bagged a Spanish goat on a hunt with Pat Fisher.

While shooting the second Fishing Central Oregon DVD, Lewis fished with Jeff Perin, of the Fly Fisher's Place in Sisters. It was a memorable day, made more so by Paloma, the golden retriever.
Fishing Crooked River
We left the Jeep behind and headed out over the lava. This hunt was filmed by Brad Douglas and John McDevitt for our High Desert Outdoorsman TV show.

In memory of our friend, John Nosler. He built a better bullet and he founded an industry. He made everyone around him a better person.

I hunted Kodiak with Ninilchik Charters. On my own, away from the beach, I found this young buck trailing with a doe. A Kodiak boat-based hunt is one of deer hunting's great adventures.

Richard Burdon guided me to my first red stag, on a free-range hunt high above Lake Hawea. Rodney Smith and Sunspot Safaris set this hunt up for me. Great adventure on New Zealand's South Island.

Shooting a segment for our first Fishing Central Oregon dvd, we were with Nick Amato, of SalmonTroutSteelheader. I used my homemade spinners and the steelhead came fast that day. Nick called every fish before I caught it.
